WHY IT WORKS

Combines both Chemical Reactions and Biological Processes in a single vessel

• Chemical: H2S + Iron Sponge (wood chips impregnated with iron oxide/rust) ? FeS2 (pyrite)
• Biological: Bacteria common to soils, rotting wood, oxidation of pyrite to elemental sulfur, and bacteria that have been acclimated to biological degradation of easily degraded organic odor-causing compounds, are all introduced into the reaction vessel.
• Chemical reactions are thus augmented by biological processes
